Bluebeam Architectural Toolset: Build a Useful Tool Chest for Reviews
Build an architectural Tool Chest around design comments, coordination, review status, openings, finishes, and site observations.

In this guide:
Start with the review workflow
A useful architecture set supports recurring design comments, coordination items, accessibility checks, finish notes, openings, submittal review, and revisions. Tool names and labels should remain clear to a colleague checking the Markups List.
Choose a library by its contents
Review the visible manifest, file format, import steps, editable behaviour, layer conventions, licence, and stated compatibility. A library for general plan review may not fit finishes, code checks, or drawing production.
Create a project-specific architecture set
Build approved clouds, notes, callouts, or grouped markups on a sample sheet. Give them agreed labels and appearance, then save them to a project Tool Chest set. Keep client-specific information apart from a reusable company library.
Use categories that support the review
Group tools by revision and coordination, submittal review, openings and finishes, or site observation. Follow the project legend where it differs from a generic icon and keep text editable where the content changes by project.
FAQs
Is there one standard architecture toolset?
No. The useful set depends on the review scope and project drawing standards.
Can a team share an architectural toolset?
Yes, but agree on ownership, storage, version control, and licence before distributing an exported BTX file.
